Do you have a dedicated or integrated GPU? Hopefully dedicated (discrete/separate GPU, that isn't part of the CPU). I had a laptop do this 2 years ago, but way worse.
You need a new GPU. I suggest an EVGA GTX 1060, they're less than $300 and will run ya fine for years
